Fishbowl Counting

$3.00

This work can be used in a few ways:

  1. As a Cards & Counters activity (matching the numeral with the corresponding amount of dots)

  2. Have a collection of objects and match them to the corresponding numerals.

  3. Use the numerals as flashcards. I prefer to mix up the numbers so I can tell if a child truly knows the name of the numeral.

  4. Use the dots for one-to-one correspondence counting.

  5. Make your own with blank fish.

  6. USE ONLY WITH ADULT SUPERVISION - affix a magnet to the back of the fish with the dots. Place in a clear bowl (fishbowl). Tie a string onto a dowel. On the free end of the string glue a magnet. Use the pole to “go fishing.” Match each dot fish with its corresponding numeral.
